Glad to see a NJ newspaper embracing Twitter, it’s about time. I was wondering why you’re pushing Roger Clemens stories as part of your NJ_News feed? I know we like to believe that everyone is a Yankees fan, but don’t you risk turning off some followers with what might be construed as unrelated news?

Thanks for dropping by. Our approach to breaking news in our news blog — for better or worse — is to post news from across departments (metro, business, sports, features…) if it rises to the level of general interest. I take your point about the Yankees, but Clemens was a big story and our beat reporters were competitive on it.

I’m sure we’ll occasionally post something that many people find irrelevant, but that’s an acceptable risk, I think. Or maybe not…
