New avenues for community news
The contributions from local bloggers at morristowngreen.com (our first hyperlocal experiment, which I’ve written about not once but twice already) are getting more and more interesting.
Here are two examples from today:
Grand Funk Railroad Back on Track (Ed Kirchdoerffer, marketing director of The Community Theatre, interviews a member of GFR as the rock group prepares for a gig at the theatre.)
Area Chamber Bids Fond Adieu to the Holidays (Jamie Duffy, maven of the local social scene, serves up a flickr gallery of pictures from the Madison Chamber of Commerce annual post-holiday party.)
And there was this from Friday:
Cory Booker: Spotlight on Individual Choice (The Newark mayor came to town to speak at the venerable Morristown-Beard School, and the report on his speech comes from two students, Tucker Pribor and Jared Radin, both of whom are editors at the school paper, the Crimson Sun.)
Good stuff, all of it. And there’s a lot more where that came from.
