Shawn,

Thanks for dropping by. We've set up twitter accounts for breaking news, business, NJVoices.com (our community opinion site) and our Giants coverage:

NJ_News
NJ_Business
NJ_Voices
NJ_Giants

Twitterfeed automatically delivers the headlines from those blogs (with tinyurl links) to followers (who can opt to receive them as text messages, a nice bonus).

The Giants account is the first one I've followed up on by adding lots of NJ followers, but I plan to do the same with the others after a few days.

We don't have reporters using Twitter as part of their beat coverage yet, but I hope to find a few volunteers (anyone? anyone?) to give it a shot.

If you find other creative ways to use twitter, please let me know.

Nice use of Twitter John. We've set up a few Twitterfeeds over here at MLive, but we haven't really spent time updating our Tweets or friends. Are your producers/reporters actively using Twitter with their own messages? or are you using Twitter feeds too?

Nah. Just your friendly neighborhood newspaper guy. :)

I followed your link and spent some time with your blog. Great stuff.

I'd be interested in your take on our <a href="http://blog.nj.com/parentalguidance" rel="nofollow">parenting blog</a>.

Cheers,
John

Ah, so that's why a Giant's fan started following me... And I thought my mother-in-law had sent a spy! ;-)
