I’ve been using this devilishly clever little app for a week or more now. It’s best as a quick 2mins or under presentation/comment. WP allows the addition of words in the post, so for me … Seesmic+words=perfect
Of course video doesn’t compare with text … apples:oranges.
It’s the message and the conversation that matter.

And you can’t do footnotes in videos, either. *

Good point about search, but I still like the idea of video comments as an option. It reinforces the fact that blogs are really just about people talking.

I’ll take the naysayer role and point out that there are some big draw backs to video comments. Mainly that google can’t search them*, and readers can’t skim through. This really makes for a mess when you’ve got more than two or three people.

I’m all for it on the outbound end though, a simple tool to make video could be the key to making the next Gary V.

*and google is never going to make anything new to solve that problem.
